Air Asia online booking system crashes
Posted on: November 13th, 2009 by Peter HeadleyWith the launch of their second birthday give-away, Air Asia’s website had trouble in the past two days coping with the high demand as people are looking for a bargain. Some flights across South East Asia were going for as little $2, which included all taxes and fees, the only extra fees were for add-ons on the budget carrier. On some deals you can get a flight from Australia all the way to London, England for just $288 around 30 per cent of a normal one-way flight, but the deal has proved hard as their system has not managed to handle demand.
Logging on to the site yesterday was easy and selecting the destination you wanted to travel to and from was again simple. However, trying to get a response proved to be non-existent. It is to be expected when flights go for such a small price and hopefully by the time the offer is over on the 15th November a lot more people will have managed to grab a bargain. Flights on offer are for travel mainly between May and October next year and are open to most of the carrier’s destinations like Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam and many other countries.
Air Asia are one of the emerging airlines in the east and are growing at a healthy rate compared to some of the bigger boys. Just like any other low-cost carrier there are a host of optional extras you can buy before travel like your on board meal, checked luggage allowance, seat allocation and much more so be sure to check once you have booked for great deals.
