Air France connects Europe and North America for less
Posted on: December 18th, 2007 by Jean AdamsAir France is currently offering a lengthy list of reduced ticket prices for some of the most popular routes between cities in North America and continental
Europe. The deal is in effect for flights departing and returning between December 24, 2007 and March 13, 2008. Discounted routes include flights from Philadelphia to Paris for only $225 each way, as well as tickets to the French capital from New York, for $256, from Houston to Nice for $301 and airfare from New York to Barcelona (
Spain), for only $198 one way. In order to receive these rates, all tickets must be booked online by no later than December 27, 2007, for travel in early 2008.
Although all fares quoted on Air
France’s website are one-way, it is necessary to buy a return ticket in order to receive the most economical rates. Prospective travelers should also keep in mind that all ticket must be bought at least seven days prior to the intended date of departure and that the trip must originate from a city in the
United States. As such, European travelers planning to fly to the
US do not meet the required eligibility criteria for this offer.
The maximum period that one can stay in the destination country is one month, but all passengers should remember that at least one Sunday night stay is required, in order to receive the promotional rate.
Air
France does not charge a separate fuel tax, as this fee is already incorporated into the originally quoted price of a ticket. Passengers should, however, be prepared to pay between $80 and $150 extra, in various government taxes.
