Air France lets you use your mobile phone on air

Apart from providing its esteemed customers, a world class treatment while traveling, Air France has recently introduced free access to Wi-Fi as well for their benefit. In addition, the Airlines implemented a unique plan of allowing passengers to use their cell phones while traveling in their aircrafts.
They have opened up new boarding satellites for Terminal 2E and Terminal 2F of Paris-Charles de Gaulle. In addition, they are also providing complimentary access to Wi-Fi in the Business Class. This is indeed a world class facility and has more than 700 seats, a true café style ambiance, an area for massage, workstations and also special luxurious seats for the comfort of their passengers. Since the last two months Air France has been offering complimentary access to Wi-Fi for all its lounges all through France as well.
Until mid of June 2008, Air France will be testing ‘Mobile On Air’ facility on their aircraft A318 which travels around Europe. This service allows one to use his or her mobile or smart phone while flying with Air France. During the first half of the trial, you will be able to exchange text messages and e-mails. During the 2nd half, passengers will be allowed to receive and make calls. The costs will be as per your network and international roaming rates.
