Air New Zealand is looking to attract more Australian visitors to all parts of New Zealand through a major new campaign.

Called the “BIG NZ SHOUT”, the campaign is running for a three-week period, ending 10 May, and supports the NZ government’s $2.5 million tourism funding boost aimed at attracting more tourists from Australia.

The national carrier is giving away over $2 million worth of domestic travel, providing a free one-way fare within New Zealand for every one-way, direct flight purchased from Australia to New Zealand during the promotional period.

“This campaign offers access to our network of 27 domestic ports, something no other airline flying the Tasman can offer,” said Bruce Parton of Air New Zealand.

He added: “It means for example, someone could fly from Sydney to Christchurch, take a free flight to Nelson and experience a few days in the region, before flying for free again to Wellington or Auckland for a stop before heading back across the Tasman.”

The new campaign is running alongside a five-day fare sale that features one-way fares from Australia to New Zealand from A$209, inclusive of taxes.

The BIG NZ SHOUT free domestic flight offer is good for travel during May and June of this year. The offer ends 10 May.
