airberlin is to further expand the flights it currently offers to North America through flying non-stop from the city of Düsseldorf to Las Vegas once a fortnight from summer 2012 onwards.
By the addition of the new destination, airberlin’s passengers will be able to connect to seven destinations across North America that are namely New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Fort Myers, San Francisco, Vancouver, and, as mentioned, Las Vegas.
The move means that airberlin will soon become Düsseldorf Airport’s largest provider of North American non-stop flights. The state of Nevada’s main attraction will receive its first airberlin flight on 10 May 2012 with all future flights on Thursdays and Sundays. Departure from Düsseldorf will be at 13:55, with the flight landing in the world’s gambling capital at 16:15.
Those in Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, and Italy are able to get connecting flights to Düsseldorf should they wish to travel across the Atlantic. With the departures and arrivals times in the afternoon, the new flight will be interesting for Dutch airberlin passengers too, as they will be able to travel to Düsseldorf and then on to the US.
