Airline looking for Britain-Valais link

A small airline based in Geneva is looking to offer flights for Britons looking for a holiday in ski resorts of Valais.
Flybaboo, a Geneva based airline is looking forward to starting a service which will link Britain to Sion- from where many popular resorts like Zermatt and Crans-Montana are accessible as reported by ATS news service. Julian cook, president and founder of the airline expressed confidence in the market for skiing holidays in Britain. He said that Sion can be a better base for such flights because of the increasing traffic at Geneva International Airport, in an interview to Le Matin Dimanche.
Geneva airport went through yet another busy period during the four day Easter weekend, with about 140000 passengers passing through Cointrin, further adding weight to the issue. This passenger rush at the international airport was 10% more than during the same period of the previous year. An airport spokesperson attributed this traffic increase to multiple events taking place at the same time. This year, Easter weekend was accompanied by the Geneva motor Show, attracting more than 700,000 tourists.
Flybaboo has currently flights operating from Geneva to 15 destinations with a fleet comprising of two Dash-18 aircrafts. But the company that saw a 50% revenue growth last year to 15 million pounds is planning to expand its assets by including five new 100-seater Embraer-190 aircrafts. The first of these new acquisitions is scheduled for a May delivery, next two in June and last two in 2009.
The airlines recently announced flights to Kiev, Malaga and St. Petersberg.
