Airtours sells online auto rental supplier in £25 million deal

TravelJigsaw, that does business as Carhire3000 runs more than ten vehicle rental brands across central Europe as well as businesses in Australia and South Africa, is on the verge of being taken over by the private equity company ISIS.
All car hire bookings with the Manchester-based provider are made via the internet and through a, 24-hour available, free call centre.
The firm, which in early 2005 launched its first site, is operated by Greg Wills the managing director. Mid 2005 the business introduced a German-language website targeting on the Swiss, Austrian and German market.
ISIS has now drastically grown becoming one of Europe’s largest auto hire brokers with turnover up 86 per cent to £37.3 million for the annum 2007 ending December 31, while the successful company’s profits were up 373 per cent to £2.2 million.
