It has been announced by Amadeus that four major airlines are going to start using its car rental services on its website. According to Amadeus, these four airlines include Qatar Airways, Air France, Lufthansa and TAM Airlines. These four airlines will now offer passengers car rentals thanks to Amadeus. This will help generate extra revenue because the airlines are providing more services for their consumers.
Amadeus went on to say that these airlines are able to integrate car rentals into the booking process at different stages. It is not something that the consumers have to incorporate or decide on right away. It does, however, give consumers quick access to car rental services when they need them most.
The head of Amadeus Cars, Peter Altmann, said that the fact that these four airlines, which have made a huge name for themselves in the industry, have chosen Amadeus means a lot. These airlines have chosen Amadeus to implement car rentals into their booking process. This just reinforces the idea that Amadeus provides the best solution when it comes to car rental needs. It also gives these airlines a new way to generate revenue in a market that is seeing tight margins right now.
Of course, this is not the only big news that is going on with Amadeus right now. The company also announced that it is teaming up with Netuitive, a well-known provider of IT analysis. This new partnership will allow Amadeus to better understand how its Altea Departure Control Flight Management System is performing.
This is a big deal because Amadeus provides a lot of IT solutions for airlines. This includes providing them with information on sales, inventory management, ticketing solutions and e-commerce. In short, Amadeus is a technology solutions provider that is able to process nearly 5 million transactions every minute.
The Altea system that Amadeus uses is a complete passenger service system. It helps Amadeus keep track of the inventory, reservations and departure control for 100 of the world’s top airlines. Netuitive is going to not only help Amadeus with this but also with the performance of the car, hotel and airline rentals that Amadeus receives.
Amadeus says that it places a lot of emphasis on traveller satisfaction. As such, it sought out an IT company that could help it enhance its Altea Departure Control system performance and all of the related applications that go along with it.
This announcement is a formal agreement with Netuitive. Now, Netuitive is in charge of monitoring a variety of different applications. This includes keeping up with car, hotel and airline rental reservation applications.
The Director of Business Development for Amadeus, Peter Raven, said that the company will be using the services provided by Netuitive to further enhance its overall performance. This involves the advanced analytic power that comes from using multiple data types and business metrics.
