The site, wetryharder.co.uk is very customer focussed and the concept is to encourage feedback from users and provide up to the minute news from Avis for regular customers.
Avis prides itself on an honest and open approach to its customer service. It is hoped that the blog will improve this even more. It will also be a useful marketing tool allowing Avis to promote its latest offers and provide up to date news items.
Xavier Vallee, Head of Marketing, Avis UK explains the importance of exploring new channels for communication with customers, “Blogging and online communications are the future, and it is important for us to offer our customers the most technologically advanced outlets for communication.” He continues, “From our point of view, adding the blog as an outward communication channel will enable us to reach a wider audience with our latest news and car rental offers. Ultimately this creates our very own targeted community of authoritative consumers. We have been reading what some customers have had to say about car hire on other blog sites, and we felt it was our duty, as a customer focussed car rental provider to offer this online community site.”
This new venture by Avis should allow them to reach out and assess what their customers are thinking about the services that they provide and also to pick up on any problems that may arise from time to time and address them quickly.
