Avis offers car rental discount in Scotland
Posted on: July 3rd, 2008 by Doug SmithAvis is offering clients interested in driving one-way from England to just about any destination in Scotland a major discount, by waiving the £40 that normally accompanies these rentals. This deal may be especially convenient for those who fly into London’s Heathrow Airport, but must then make their way up to a destination in Scotland. The advantage of a one-way rental such as this is that clients can drop off their hired vehicle at just about any location in their destination area.
The waived one-way fee applies to those who wish to pick up a car from either Gatwick Airport or London Heathrow and drive up to anywhere in Scotland. Medium-sized cars are available from £25 per day, while those traveling in smaller groups can rent a people carrier for £40. Clients should, however, keep in mind that they will be required to pay for their rental at the time of reservation, and all booking must be arranged no later than July 31st, 2008. Additionally, reservations must be made online, no later than one day prior to the intended day of pick-up and the rental period itself must be no longer than two consecutive days.
Most travelers will likely find that renting a car from Avis under these conditions is a much more economical form of transport than taking the train, when traveling from London to cities in Scotland. This is especially true in the case of families.
