Avis offers discount on UK weekly rentals
Posted on: April 22nd, 2008 by Martin FellowesAvis has announced a series of discounts on weekly rentals, picked up at outlets in the United Kingdom. Economy class vehicles are now available for only £126 for an entire week, while compact cars are only slightly more expensive, at £136 per week. Full-size rentals are currently priced at £150, but clients should keep in mind that even if this vehicle is only marginally more expensive than those in other categories, the price of gasoline tends to increase exponentially with the majority of larger cars.
In order to take advantage of these low rates, renters must be sure to arrange their bookings no later than June 30th, 2008. Additionally, the rental car must also be picked up before this date. Clients are require to reserve their car online, no later than one business day prior to their intended date and time of collection and payment must be made in full at the time of booking. All prices listed on Avis’s UK-based website (www.avis.co.uk) are for seven day rentals, which means that it only costs £18 per day to rent an economy-class passenger vehicle. It is, however, well worth noting that there are a couple of black-out period, during which time the current deal does not apply. For example, May 1st to May 5th is blacked out, as is the period between May 22nd and May 26th. The maximum period that one can rent a car with Avis currently stands at 27 consecutive days.
