Avis offers discounts in Eastern Europe

The Avis car rental company is offering discounted rate on car rentals to its customers who are planning to hire a vehicle during their vacation in Central or Eastern Europe.

Holidaymakers with plans to visit Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary or Poland, among other countries in this part of Europe, will be eligible for a discount of 15% on the cost of their car rental, so long as they book a vehicle for at least three consecutive days. The promotional is valid through the end of July, and will be offered again in September, after the peak season ends.

The cut off date for customer reservations will be 28 September, and in most cases, pre-payment will be necessary. Bookings need to be made on the Avis UK website. All prices shown on the Avis site are inclusive of unlimited mileage, taxes, damage and theft insurance cover and airport charges, if applicable.

Some of the lowest rental rates to be found are in Slovenia, Eastern Europe’s only country to adopt the euro to date. For rentals of a week or more, rates begin as low as €16 per day.

Visitors to Estonia will also enjoy bargain rates, with rentals starting from €21, while visitors to Croatia will pay from €23, and in Hungary, €27. All rates are fully inclusive, but renters have the option of selecting extra insurance cover on all vehicle rentals.
