Avis Rent-a-Car has reached an agreement with Epyx that will enable it to sell ex-hire vehicles to auto dealers in the UK. The vehicles will be sold via Epyx’s 1link Disposal Network and it is set to offer traders easy access to late-model cars in tip-top condition.
Commenting on the new partnership, Epyx’s business development manager David Goodyear said it was an excellent opportunity for second-hand car dealers to get their hands on eminently saleable stock. He continued by saying everybody at Epyx was thrilled to be involved.
He noted that Avis operated one of the UK’s largest vehicle hire fleets and it did not matter whether buyers were sole traders, small firms or part of a franchise as there was something for all comers in Avis’s redundant fleet. Under the terms of the agreement, Epyx will broker each stage of the sales from arranging it through to receiving payment and the subsequent handover of the vehicle.
Mr Goodyear carried on with the claim that Epyx’s service would streamline the purchase process and buyers would be getting the best deals on Avis’s old fleet vehicles with the minimum of fuss. Several other car hire firms with large turnovers of vehicles use the 1link Disposal Network.
Epyx sells the vehicles through several mediums, but the favoured ones are online and at vehicle auctions. Epyx is at the forefront of the fleet industry and provides processional solutions via its e-platforms for all aspects of the transactions needed to keep hire firms’ vehicles up-to-date.
