BA to offer free train tickets through travel agents

British Airways is now offering its passengers who book domestic flights through their travel agents a free train ticket for use on the Heathrow or the Gatwick Express service.

From this week until 25 September 2008, all passengers who book either a fully-flexible or semi-flexible return flight to domestic destinations in Britain will be offered return airport transfer tickets, to be issued by travel agents who book the flights.

David Maddison, the international airline account manager for Airport Express, which is the trade marketing and sales alliance for the Gatwick and Heathrow Express, noted: “We’ve developed this tailor-made solution for British Airways to create a seamless journey experience for travellers between Gatwick and Heathrow airport and central London.

“British Airways customers can look forward to the comfort and convenience of our high-speed, non-stop services departing every 15 minutes from Victoria and Paddington stations.”

Once a passenger has completed the flight booking process through their travel agent, the agent is then offered the opportunity to book a return ticket on either a Gatwick Express or Heathrow Express for that passenger in conjunction with their flight.
