British Airways, which is one of the biggest airlines in the UK, has announced that they are extending the number of flights they offer from London City Airport. Now they will provide new services to Copenhagen, which is a popular destination visited by both leisure and business travelers. The city offers many shopping locations for tourists that provide a range of hand-crafted, modern and antique products, as well as vibrant nightlife, museums that are known the world over and boat tours.
The new route will increase the amount of options that travelers already have when they choose to fly to the Danish capital starting September 12. The airline commented that the flights will answer a growing demand from customers for simpler access to the city. Many of the carrier’s services from Heathrow Airport already provide flights to Copenhagen, but this new direct service will give business passengers a faster travel link between the destinations. The chance to fly from London’s city centre will also be an attractive option for leisure travelers looking to explore Denmark or spend as much of their holiday abroad as they can.
Luke Hayhoe, the commercial manager of BA CityFlyer, which is a British Airways subsidiary, says that this has been a year with many firsts for the carrier at London City Airport. They are offering new leisure focused services to the Balearic Islands, which were launched earlier in the year, he continued, as well as their first Scandinavian flights ever. They are responding to both leisure and business travel demand for Denmark services, he added, and they are happy to launch another exciting route that will be operated by their new aircraft.
