British Airways employee bitten by passenger
Posted on: July 10th, 2008 by Andy SimpsonA passenger on a flight from Orlando Florida) to London’s Gatwick Airport became furious onboard the plane and ended up biting a member of the cabin crew, according to a report in today’s Mirror newspaper. The rowdy passenger was a British national who allegedly became loud and aggressive during the long-haul flight. The troublesome passenger then proceeded to threaten people on the plane, including both other passengers and cabin crew. A fellow passenger and eye witness to these events told journalists that she believed that the man was not travelling alone, but was actually with his spouse and two of his children, one of whom was a teenage girl who was clearly disturbed by the raucous that her father was causing on the transatlantic British Airways flight.
The passenger started throwing a fit when the plane was flying over the UK and was getting ready to approach London, in order to land at 6:30am. Others onboard said that he began yelling and swearing, and was clearly displaying all the tell-tale signs of air rage. Other passengers on the flight then came to the aid of flight attendants, in order to restrain the out-of-control man. One passenger told the Mirror that during this process, the man actually bit a flight attendant. Although no specific details were released, police did confirm that a male passenger had in fact been arrested once the plane landed in London.
