British Airways in Thailand has provided a local Bangkok telephone number for its passengers to call in order to register their details – 02 627 1701 – and has made a commitment to finding means to repatriate them as soon as possible.
In a statement released on Tuesday, BA said that it is working with Qantas, its partner in the oneworld alliance, to determine how best to help passengers leave Thailand. The carrier also indicated that it is involved in preparations for when it is able to resume services to and from Bangkok’s international airport.
“In the event that we are able to offer relief flights or we are given clearance to resume flights, we will contact all customers who have registered with us in order to rebook them onto services,” the airline said.
It went on to say: “We can understand how frustrating the circumstances are and would ask our customers to bear with us. Unfortunately, the situation is outside our control but we are doing all we can to help customers who have been affected.”
Customers of British Airways in the UK can contact the airline by telephone at 00 44 191 490 7901, daily from 6:00am to 8:00pm UK time.
