Budapest Ferihegy Airport reduces parking fees
Posted on: June 18th, 2008 by Andrew RobertsThose planning on parking their vehicle at Budapest’s Ferihegy Airport will likely be pleased to discover that the Hungarian hub’s operator has decided to reduce parking rates ahead of the busy summer season. The reduction in Budapest Airport’s intermediate to long-term parking rates are especially impressive, as clients will now only have to pay 2,500 forints (€10) per day (rather than 4,000 forints) for those who are interested in reserving a space for their vehicle for a 24 hour period, while clients who wish to park their vehicle for three days only pay 6,200 forints (€25), rather than the original price of 10,000 forints. As an added advantage, clients can pay a flat rate of 9,500 forints (€38) after eight days.
Budapest Airport Zrt, the privately-owned company which operates Ferihegy International’s two terminals, offers a range of parking options for clients, including hourly express parking, right outside the terminal buildings, two to three hour parking just 100 metres from the terminals and long-term parking in front of Ferihegy T-1, which is located at a truly convenient 30 second walking distance from the main doors of the terminal. Long-term parking at T-2A and T-2B is situated 200 metres from the terminal building. Budapest Airport’s website also offers a useful calculator tool, which allows prospective clients to determine which parking option is most price-effective for their specific needs. Ferihegy Airport’s two terminals offer clients 2,533 parking spaces.
All discount, low-cost airlines are served by Terminal 1, while full service carriers use Terminals 2A and 2B. Flights within the Schengen Zone depart from T-2A, while those flying to other countries leave from T-2B.
