Budget provides $3 million in rebates
Posted on: May 19th, 2008 by Kate PooleBudget Rent A Car has announced that it has provided small and medium sized businesses which are also members of its loyalty program a total of $3 million in rebates over the course of the past three years. Budget’s business program rebate scheme was launched in May 2005 and the plan aims to benefit those companies that spend approximately $50,000 per year on car rentals. Firms that are part of the Budget’s business program get to earn a $2 rebate for each day that they rent a vehicle and they also get a chance to enjoy preferential car hire rates.
Melissa Lynch, Budget’s vice president in charge of business marketing, noted that her car rental company is the only one in the world to provide clients with rebates whenever they hire a vehicle. “Surpassing $3 million in rebates in less than three years is a testament to our commitment to better serve the needs of small and mid-sized businesses,” Lynch told journalists.
Budget’s business program is currently only available to US-based businesses. Those that enter the program, however, can rest assured that they will never be required to pay membership fees. At the end of each month, the company will be sent a statement reflecting their total number of rental days, as well as a cheque, for the total eligible rebate.
