Car hire firm urging tourists to book 2010 now
Posted on: September 21st, 2009 by Martin FellowesIn the world of car rentals, it has been a funny old year so far with the economy having an up and down affect on the business. With this in mind some hire car businesses are suggesting to the travelling public to book their rentals for 2010 now, so that people are not left stranded like they were this year, and the sector will not run short of vehicles.
For the first part of the year rental firms experienced a loss in rental days as it was a luxury that some of us opted not to take when cutting back on expenditure, while others used the services slightly more after selling their second car. Most car hire agencies decided to cut back on their fleets either by not buying new models when their older vehicles reached their trade back age or because banks were suggesting it to help them with their debts.
Along came the summer and there was a mass shortage of cars on the continent, some customers were being left stranded while others ended paying mega for long taxi rides to their villas. There could be some great advantages to booking early for 2010 including discounts and a larger choice of vehicles to select from. If this year is anything to go by, booking early is the best option to choose.
