Cheap Peugeot car hire in UK

Peugeot, the car manufacturer, will launch a special cut price deal for their electric rental cars that are due to be launched in Britain by the end of this year. The electric car hire scheme called Mu, which has been launched in Paris this week, will be tried out on the London market later this year and Peugeot will offer discounts of up to 20 per cent on the vehicles because of the lack of charging stations offered in the UK. They understand that one charge will not get some people to their destination so are offering the lower rate to try and encourage more people to go electric.

It is not just cars on offer in the Mu electric range, you will also be able to hire out bicycles, moped and vans that are all electric. Because of the low numbers of Peugeot main dealers in London they are hoping to be able to install charging points throughout the capital that will allow customers to charge their vehicles. The cost to be in this scheme is expected to be around just £10 and for that you will receive your own personal membership card that will allow you access to a fleet of vehicles.

Four French cities have already been trialing the electric vehicles and they have been proving popular. Some of the cars on offer include the 207CC and the 308CC. There have not been any age restrictions on the vehicles in France so everyone has been allowed to try out the service.
