Stunning singer Cheryl Cole will be granted a divorce from her love rat husband Ashley Cole, according to reports. The High Court’s Family Division in London is expected to grant the decree nisi today.
The case, entitled, CAC vs AC (Cheryl Ann Cole against Ashley Cole) will be heard at 10:00 today before District Judge Christopher Simmonds. The couple separated earlier this year after repeated newspaper stories about Mr Coles’s various alleged affairs.
The Chelsea and England footballer met Mrs Cole, formerly Miss Tweedy, in 2004 when they were living in the same apartment block in London. They got engaged on holiday in Dubai in 2005 and were married the next year.
Only three years later, however, reports began to emerge about Mr Cole sending naked photographs of himself to other women and cheating on his wife. Mr Cole, however, claimed a friend sent the photos when he got hold of his phone.
Mrs Cole, formerly of the girl group Girls Aloud but now pursuing a solo career and working as a judge of the talent show X-Factor, was seen without her wedding ring on various occasions following the allegations.
The couple are one of 29 registered on the list for decrees nisi at High Holborn’s Principle Registry of the Family Division, but are the only ones to be referred to solely by their initials. A spokesperson for Mrs Cole declined to comment on the story.
