Cheryl Cole Returns to UK after Quickie Divorce

Cheryl Cole has returned to the UK after spending weeks in Los Angeles. During her visit to the states, she recovered from malaria, which only brought her closer to friend and love interest Derek Hough. However, one big thing is that she was granted a quick divorce from cheating footballer Ashley Cole.

The divorce was granted just last week on grounds of his unreasonable behavior during their 4 years of marriage. He had actually cheated on her a couple years ago with one person, but just as they were getting back to normal after that, it was found out earlier this year that he had been cheating on her with 4 or 5 other women over the years.

Cheryl has spoke about her divorce with Vogue magazine, saying that she feels betrayed, but she has to learn from everything that’s happened while accepting that this particular chapter has ended in her life. She’d grateful that she has so many good things going on, she continued, adding that she is glad she didn’t have children with him.

Of course, she’s not ruling out children and is already talking about having some. She’s 27 and a woman, she said. (Who knows…maybe Derek will be the lucky man!)

Meanwhile, she also talked about keeping her married name. A friend says that she’s worked hard for the name. Keeping it has nothing to do with Ashley, they added, explained that her career has been built on the name.

This is a good move, as it would be really weird to see the name Cheryl Tweedy at the top of the charts. We’re sure keeping Cole won’t bring her any bad luck, not with all the good things ready to come her way!
