China Auto Rental Teams Up with Former Football Player David Beckham

David BeckhamJust because David Beckham has retired from the game of football does not mean that he is done landing big deals. In fact, this former football player has just teamed up with China Auto Rental in a deal with IMG Worldwide, a well-known fashion, media and global sports company. The whole point of this new partnership is to help develop the Chinese Super League. They also hope that this new partnership can inspire younger kids to get active and play football.

According to IMG World Wide, this new partnership is going to see Mr Beckham featured in a new commercial. This will actually be the very first commercial that Beckham has been in since he retired from playing football just last month. This deal will also see Beckham take a seven-day tour of different football clubs and youth programs in Nanjing, Hangzhou and Shanghai.

The chairman for China Auto Rental, Lu Zhengyao, said that he is extremely excited to be partnering up with David Beckham. He believes that there is no one better in the world to inspire kids to play football. He went on to say that China Auto Rental and David Beckham have the same goal in mind. Both parties want to promote a healthy lifestyle for young kids. He went on to say that he hopes China Auto Rental will have a chance to work with Beckham again in the future.

Beckham also had his own comments to make on this new deal. He said that he is extremely happy to be part of a partnership with a company that has been around for as long as China Auto Rental. He said that China holds a very special place in his heart, and he would love to inspire kids in China to get up and get active.

David added that he has seen the joy and aspiration that kids have when playing football. He has seen the joy in people’s faces when he visits China. He personally thanked Lu for all of hits great comments and his commitment to this new relationship. David finished up by congratulating LU on the success that China Car Rental has had over the years.

This is just another step in the right direction for Beckham. Back in March, he became the new ambassador for the China Youth Football Development and Chinese Football Association Super League. On top of this, after having played for LA Galaxy in the United States, Beckham remains very committed to helping grow the profile of football in the states.

Beckham has a long way to go if he is going to change the profile of football in the states. Right now, when people think of football, they think American football, or the National Football League. Football in Europe is basically known as soccer in the United States, and it has not spawned a huge following yet when compared to other American sports like Baseball and the NFL.
