Europcar launches competition to win eco-car

Europcar has created a competition and the winner will win a new eco-car in the shape of a Fiat 500. The car rental company launched the compettion offering members of the public a chance to win a green car after a rival company was nominated the European Leader for reduction in CO2 emissions. The competition will run until the 15th of October 2009.

People can enter the race to win a Fiat 500 on the Europcar micro website. The competition is only open to those residing in Germany, Spain, France, Austria, Portugal and Belgium. There are two cars up for grabs and to win each player must successfully answer questions put to them by the online car game. All questions will be about the eco-friendly offerings of the Fiat 500 as well as the companies policies as far as green car rentals go.

Fiat has launched a total of seven different eco-friendly cars and they are all available for rent from Europcar. The small CO2 emissions from all of the cars are a mere 110g/km to 119g/km, with the Fiat 500 proving the most beneficial to the environment. Besides being able to help cut carbon emission drastically, the Fiat 500 also has the distinction of having won the of ‘European Car of the Year’ title last year.
