Crystal Cruises wins top Conde Nast readers award

For a record-setting 15th consecutive year, Crystal Cruises has been voted the world’s “Best Large-Ship Cruise Line” by Conde Nast Traveller magazine readers. Crystal’s score of 93.1 made it the winner by a wide margin over other cruise lines in the large-ship and also the small-ship categories.

“We are honoured that the well-travelled readers of Conde Nast Traveller once again, through their own personal experience, consider Crystal Cruises to be the best cruise line in the world,” commented the president of Crystal Cruises, Gregg Michel.

Michel went on to say: “I am very proud of our exceptional staff and their commitment to providing such a treasured vacation experience to so many global travellers. Now, more than ever, brand, reputation and consistency are key factors in consumers’ purchase decisions. Such prestigious awards reinforce Crystal Cruises’ leading position in hospitality.”

The Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards are considered to be among the highest travel industry honours, recognizing the best-of-the-best among airlines, cruise lines, cities, hotels, islands and rental car companies.

Over 32,000 of the magazine’s subscribers voted in this year’s survey. In the voting, cruise lines were evaluated based on a number of categories, including: Activities/Facilities, Cabins, Crew/Service, Design/Layout, Food/Dining, Itineraries and Shore Excursions.

The luxury travel experience offered by Crystal Cruises was acknowledged in August 2008, when it was voted the ‘World’s Best Large-Ship Cruise Line’ by Travel + Leisure readers in the US, and has received top international honours from prestigious consortiums of travel agents.
