Cruise passengers will have a unique opportunity this summer to sail around the UK aboard Disney Magic. To coincide with the maiden voyage in British waters, Disney Cruise Lines is staging a musical, Tangled, at the vessel’s onboard theatre.
Tangled depicts the trials and tribulations of the Brothers Grimm’s Rapunzel following her escape from imprisonment in the tower. Disney’s choreographers and design team have worked their usual magic and Tangled features enchanting costumes in combination with beautiful songs and dances.
Cruise passengers boarding the 1,754-passenger vessel for the 12-night odyssey will have the chance of witnessing the spectacular stage-play for themselves. The cruise will begin and end at the southern English port of Dover.
On its route around the British Isles, Disney Magic has scheduled ports of call at Newcastle, three locations in Scotland and Liverpool. In addition it will stop in Dublin, Guernsey’s Peter Port and the French port of Le Havre.
Other Disney voyages ex-Dover for 2016 include seven nights to Barcelona and twelve nights to the fjords of Norway and Iceland. Although a delight for children, adults are catered for on Disney Cruise Lines voyages.
Nightclubs, lounges, swimming pools and great dining options are the key attractions for adults. Palo’s Italian eatery is reserved exclusively for adult passengers. Other dining options include Carioca’s South American fare, Animator’s Palate and a boardwalk with America’s favourite snacks and fast food.
Disney Magic boasts a lovely art-deco finish that enhances the surrealism of the onboard experience. Disney Magic embarked on her maiden voyage in 1998, but was given an extensive refurbishment two years ago.
