Dubai enjoys promising response from UK tourism industry
Posted on: November 19th, 2009 by Robert BergersonDefinitely Dubai is the official brand for tourism promoted in Dubai by the Dubai Department of Tourism (DTCM) and it recently received a positive response from the UK sector of tourism and travel. During the 30th World Travel Market fair, DTCM launched its Definitely Dubai brand and enjoyed an all-round good response. The fair is the largest travel and tourism fair in the world and the 2009 event was held in London.
Definitely Dubai will aim to provide many tools for all professionals and professional bodies that help to promote Dubai as a holiday destination. Many marketing opportunities will also be offered by the Definitely Dubai brand in a bid to raise even more awareness about the successful emirate within the tourism sector. The Definitely Dubai stand at the fair was shared by 77 co-participants and it stood at just over 600 square metres. It was also the 20th time that the DTCM had been a part of the event.
Officials explained how the Definitely Dubai brand had been created to optimise the marketing strategies of Dubai to countries around the world. DTCM also won an award during the event and Emirates Airlines along with a variety of hotels in Dubai provided flights and accommodation as part of a raffle as part of the campaign. The Dubai Police, Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department as well as the Dubai Shopping Festival were all represented at the stand. Currently the UK and Ireland are the largest tourist sources for Dubai.
