easyCar offers vehicle rentals from £9

One of Britain’s largest discount car rental service providers, easyCar, is now offering vehicles starting at only £9 per day, for those interested in travelling to Jersey. Rentals at a number of other destinations are also offered, although at slightly higher prices, such as car hires in Faro for £11, as well as rentals in Gerona for £12, in addition to Irish and Israeli hires priced at £14 per day. The lowest prices listed on easyCar’s website (www.easycar.com) are all based on weekly rentals and in many cases, the pick-up must occur on either a Monday or a Tuesday. Most of these rates are specifically for May rentals, with the exception of the £9 Jersey rate, which expires at the end of April. Clients should also keep in mind that all vehicles booked through easyCar are available on a ‘first come, first served basis’ and as such, tourists are well advised to arrange their car hires well in advance of planned trips, especially during peak travel seasons.

Since its establishment in 2000, easyCar has become one of the most prominent internet-based car rental service providers in Europe. In contrast to booking systems offered by major rental companies like Hertz and Avis, easyCar focuses almost exclusively on leisurely travelers, rather than businesspeople in terms of its business strategy. It is, however, important to remember that easyCar is an online car rental broker, which means that it works in a close partnership with actual vehicle hire firms. Yet clients should always keep in mind that as a discount company, some of the services and options normally available from other firms may not be offered by easyCar. For example, refunds are not offered under any circumstances, including in the case of cancellations or for no-shows.
