Ebookers partners with Viva Voyage in cruise offerings
Posted on: June 30th, 2008 by Samantha WilliamsViva Voyage, the North American-based cruise retailer, has entered an agreement with ebookers to power their new cruise channel offering.
Viva Voyage is already behind the cruise channel for Orbitz, the US-based sister company to ebookers.
The ebookers.cruises.com website is both ‘owned and operated’ by Viva Voyage, a member of ABTA. Links will be provided from the ebookers homepage to the new cruise site, but the plan is that the new site will stand on its own.
Customers will have access to the Viva Voyage call centre, which is claimed to offer more extended ‘opening hours’ than any other cruise specialist in the UK, with staff available to discuss options with customers from 09:00 until 02:00, Monday through Friday, and also from 10:00 – 23:00, on Saturday and Sunday.
The new booking site will offer customers real-time availability and booking capability for 23 cruise lines, which cover more than 200 different ships. As is typical of all ebookers offerings, travel packages available on the cruise channel come with a best price guarantee.
Viva Voyage will be working closely with ebookers to attract new customers to the cruise market, targeting those who have never considered a cruise in their travel plans in the past. A PPC campaign will be employed to kick-start the site.
