Enterprise, National Partner with AmEx

Enterprise Holdings has announced that it’s been named the official car hire partner for the American Express (AmEx) Savings at Work programme. Through the partnership, AmEx Corporate Card members can get a 5% discount on Enterprise Rent-A-Car hires and a 15% discount on National Car Rental hires when they book through Savings at Work.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental are both rental brands owned and operated under the Enterprise Holdings umbrella. The group also owns and operates Alamo Rent A Car. Through these regional subsidiaries, the group is the biggest and most expansive car rental provider across the globe – with $14.1 billion a year in revenues, over 70,000 staff and more than 1.2 million vehicles.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car was established in 1957 and is known for its great customer service, low rates and comprehensive network of offices. The brand was honoured with the Readers’ Choice Award from Budget Travel magazine in 2010 and 2011 in recognition of its customer service around the world. In the US, it has more than 5,500 branches located within 15 miles of 90% of the population and operates more than double the number of offices of its closest rival.

The National Car Rental brand was established in 1947 and specialises in allowing customers to pick out their vehicle and get on the road faster. Its Emerald Club expedites this process even more by enhancing efficiency and convenience. The brand is also the official car hire partner of the PGA of America. Last year, the brand won the Leading Edge Award from Executive Travel magazine in recognition of its top car hire service. The Emerald Club has also been honoured with awards.

AmEx provides Corporate Purchasing Solutions, the Corporate Card and other services that manage expenses for mid-sized businesses and big companies around the world. The AmEx Savings at Work porgramme is an exclusive benefit for AmEx Corporate Card clients. It gives mid-sized businesses seamless access to pre-negotiated savings and discounts on everyday spending – including shipping, dining, travel and now car hires. The programme was established in 2002 to help mid-sized companies that seek out but can’t secure the cheaper rates that bigger corporations usual reserve.

They will now be able to offer their card members valuable discounts on the most needed services, he added, as well as help mid-sized businesses get more miles out of every dollar they spend on travel expenses.
