Those looking to rent cars in Hallandale Beach, Florida, will now be able to hire vehicles that are more fuel efficient than ever before, thanks to the introduction of so-called “fuel flex” automobiles to Enterprise’s local fleet. According to a report filed by CBS4, an Enterprise outlet located near Hallandale Beach Boulevard, has just added new vehicles to its fleet, in an attempt to ensure that clients get to enjoy a more extensive selection of economical and environmentally-friendly car hires. All of these brand new cars run on E85, a fuel based largely on Ethanol, as well as some traditional petrol. This form of gas, however, is far cheaper to produce, since much of it is based on corn extracts.
There are seven Enterprise locations in the US where renters can choose from a fairly wide selection of these fuelflex cars, and one of them is located in southern Florida. Most analysts believe that these vehicles are growing in popularity, mainly because they are around 30 percent cheaper to fuel, than those which run on regular gasoline. Kurt Marzolf, who works at one of these Florida locations, pointed out that most clients are satisfied with the fuel efficiency of these cars.
There is, however, still a potential problem for all those who choose to rent a fuelflex vehicle. It remains relatively difficult to find petrol stations that sell E85, in addition to regular fuel products. As such, all those clients who plan to hire one of these Enterprise vehicles would be well advised to do some research in advance, in order to determine where such pumps are located.
Thank you to CBS for the initial report.
