Etihad takes delivery of new Airbus plane

The flag carrier of Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways, has this moth taken delivery of their first of five new planes to fly on the route from the Arab state to London’s Heathrow Airport. The jet that is due to get underway in the next few days will operate the standard three class system of 12 seats in first class, 40 in business class and 151 at the rear in economy. The airline is particularly excited about the latest addition to their fleet as it will be the first plane where passengers can enjoy all their products across all three classes.

The first class section has 12 individual suites that can be closed off to the surrounding areas by a unique sliding door. The increased space gives much more room to relax for the high-end passengers and has a bed that stretches out to almost eight feet. Into business class and the travellers are greeted with again more room for maximum comfort. There is a 15.4 inch touch screen entertainment screen with the added luxury of a USB port and iPod connector socket so that you can enjoy your own entertainment.

Economy passengers will enjoy a relaxing 33 inches of movement on their luxury seats and each will have a personal entertainment screen with a controller and power socket underneath. The airline as also in the process of retrofitting some of their other planes so that they will come into line with the new services on offer from the A330-300.
