Europcar’s Privilege Card program leads to savings
Posted on: December 26th, 2007 by Lisa DavidsonEuropcar Privilege cardholders can enjoy a range of benefits when planning their travel itineraries, including discounts at major international hotel chains. Europcar provides members of its loyalty program with a Privilege card which, among other things, allows cardholders to receive up to 25% off the price of a hotel room at Novotel locations throughout Europe, as well as 10% off accommodation at Mercure. Members also enjoy special perks, such as a complimentary ‘welcome drink’ at Ibis hotels in Spain and free use of car parks at Suitehotel locations. Registering for a Privilege card is free of charge and is generally recommended most for those who occasionally rent vehicles from Europcar.
Those who rent more frequently should consider applying for a Privilege Ready card, which offers all the same hotel reductions and perks that regular Privilege members enjoy, but also provides a handful of other services to renters. For example, cardholders will receive priority customer service at all Europcar locations, thus expediting the vehicle collection process. Additionally, all rental agreements are pre-printed with the necessary information on the driver(s), which means that all a renter has to do is sign the form and pick up the keys before driving off. Those interested in receiving either of Europcar’s loyalty cards should complete the application available on the car hire firm’s main website: www.europcar.com . The loyalty program button is located at the top right-hand corner of the page.
Europcar was established in 1949, thus making it one of the oldest surviving car hire companies in Europe. The firm opened its first outlets in Paris, France, but has since then expanded to include locations in 143 countries.
