Expedia Inc., the world’s best-known travel company recently announced the acquisition of carrentals.com. The business-to-consumer portal specialises in the online car-rental services and offers a wide range of car-rental options directly to customers. As per the new agreement, the carrentals.com will continue its operations as it is and will now be reporting as a business unit, directly to Expedia Inc.’s discount travel brand ‘Hotwire.’

Carrentals.com is based in New Jersey and has earned a good name for itself in the premier car rental market. They offer online bookings and advanced technologies to their car-rental partners as well as cherished consumers. The deal has been kept confidential in nature and the terms have not yet been disclosed. Like all popular acquisitions, Expedia has also stated that they do not intend to make any significant changes to the existing carrentals.com operations. No alterations will also be made to the present leadership team, employee base and the brand name.
