Footballer Olivier Giroud Apologies to Wife on Twitter After Sharing a Hotel Room With a Model

Olivier GiroudThanks to social media sites, it seems that celebrities can make informal apologies whenever they want. At least, that is what Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud did on his Twitter page. This footballer apologized to his wife, Jennifer, after he was seen in pictures in a hotel room with model Celia Kay. To make matters worse, he was with her just hours before Arsenal was due to play its match against Crystal Palace.

Of course, Olivier did not just apologize to his wife. He also apologized to his friends and family, fans and his team manager, Arsene Wenger. Olivier may have been apologizing to the manager for flat out lying to him. When he was first questioned about it, Olivier denied that the meeting took place on February 2. Unfortunately, pictures of Olivier in his underwear were printed by The Sun the very next Sunday. It is said that the pictures were taken by the model.

After the pictures were leaked, Olivier threw in the towel and admitted this wrongdoing. He took to Twitter to apologize, making two statements:

“I apologize to my wife, family and friends, and my manager, teammates and Arsenal fans”
“I now have to fight for my family and for my club and obtain their forgiveness. Nothing else matters at the moment.”

Celia Kay, an international model, has been seen in popular magazines such as FHM and Maxim. She was seen arriving at a Four Seasons hotel in Canary Wharf at 12:50 a.m. She was later seen leaving the same hotel at 3:04 a.m.

Despite this, Kay has been insisting that she and the footballer did not have sex. Despite this, she told local media that Olivier knows the truth about what happened, and the fact that he is lying about it is simply pathetic. Right now, he is just digging a huge hole for himself. If you are not big enough to do the crime, then don’t do it.

Of course, it is not known who Olivier was hiding the meeting from more: his wife or his manager. After all, if his manager found out, Olivier was going to be fined £230,000 for this little hotel meeting. As soon as Olivier denied it, the club backed off its fine.

Whether or not he is fined has yet to be seen. Reports have suggested that his wife has already forgiven him. Sources close to his wife say that she was never really hurt by the meeting with the model but more from Olivier lying about it. Either way, Olivier was benched in his most recent game against Liverpool.
