Fox the largest independent rental firm in Hungary

Fox Autorent is considered to be Hungary’s largest independent car rental firm and as such, one of its main goals is to compete successfully with the much larger international brand names that dominate a significant section of the market. Fox, however, has built its reputation on a combination of reasonable prices and a wide array of rental cars to choose from.

Founded in 1988, Fox is among the first privately-owned car hire firms in Hungary, as it was formed just before the country’s transition to multiparty democracy following the fall of Communism. The company’s fleet is presently comprised of some 300 vehicles, starting from only €45 per day. Available automobiles include Smart cars (such as the Cabrio, Pulse and the Fortwo) as well as economy class rentals, including the Ford Fusion, the Suzuki Swift, the Fiat Punto and the Chevrolet Lacetti. In order to rent a Fox car, clients must be able to produce a valid license, a passport or a photo ID, as well as any major credit card, such as AMEX, Visa, MasterCard or Diners Club.
