Green Motion Rental leads environment trend
Posted on: January 4th, 2008 by Jean AdamsGreen Motion Vehicle Rental, often touted as the “greenest” car hire company in all of
Europe, announced that it is expanding its fleet with new Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion vehicles. These cars are believed to be among the most fuel-efficient and most environmentally-friendly of automobiles, thanks to their low level of carbon emissions. It also appears as though Green Motion plans to stick with the Volkswagen brand, as it expands its fleet. In addition to the Polo, the car hire firm has confirmed that it will also buy Golf hatchbacks, as well as Passats, but in both cases, the company will purchase the environmentally-friendly “BlueMotion” models. As part of its business philosophy, Green Motion is committed to only operating cars that emit the lowest amount of carbon.
Founded in 2007, Green Motion is currently building its presence throughout the
United Kingdom. It already operates outlets in North London, Oxford, Buckinghamshire and in
Milton Keynes. The first new Polo cars will be available for rent at the company’s
North London (Palmers Green) location, while Gulf and Passat VW cars will be added gradually over the course of the year. By the end of the expansion process, Green Motion will operate up to 300 brand new, environmentally-friendly cars. Richard Lowden, the company’s founder, noted that buying these new Volkswagen vehicles represents a unique opportunity for his fledgling firm, because these top of the line cars combine quality and class, with a set of impressive green credentials. As such, renters need not sacrifice quality when they look to hire a vehicle with low carbon emissions.
While Green Motion’s website is already up and running at www.greenmotion.com, the company has yet to set up its interactive, online reservation system. As such, all bookings should be made by contacting the firm, using the coordinates listed on the site.
