Hertz Acquires CCL Vehicle Rentals in a Move to Continue Its Growth

Hertz logoLately, Hertz has been on a roll in terms of growth. It also does not appear that the company will be letting up anytime soon. In fact, Hertz has recently announced that it has purchased CCL Vehicle Rentals. This company is currently the UK’s leading provider of national accident management. The headquarters for CCL Vehicle Rentals is located in Dorset.

So what does this move mean for Hertz? Well, it means that Hertz has now put itself in a position to capitalize on the car insurance replacement sector. In the UK alone, this market is said to be worth more than £1 billion. On top of this, it is very likely that the market will just continue to grow, so it is a good idea for Hertz to get into this industry now.

Right now, CCL Vehicle Rentals offers a very competitive variety of services. Its endeavour for success is what caught Hertz’s eye in the first place. Now that Hertz has acquired CCL Vehicle Rentals, it will operate as a Hertz subsidiary. The customers of CCL Vehicle Rentals will now be able to benefit from Hertz’s already huge fleet of cars in the UK. With all of the financial backing that Hertz can give to CCL Vehicle Rentals, it can continue to grow into one of the UK’s leading insurance rental companies.

The group President of Hertz, Michel Taride, says that his company has just entered into the UK car insurance replacement market. It was able to do this by acquiring CCL Vehicle Rentals for an undisclosed sum. Hertz and CCL Vehicle Rentals will be able to bring a whole new era of comprehensive services to the industry. This is an industry that is already worth over £1 billion in just the UK. This segment of the market is just going to continue to grow, and Hertz will be there for every moment of it. Hertz is very excited to welcome CCL Vehicle Rentals into the Hertz family.

Even before CCL Vehicle Rentals was picked up by Hertz, it was already one of the leading providers of rental insurance in the UK. In 2012, this company was able to post a nice turnover of more than £21 million. This is something that the company is looking to improve on this year, and with Hertz’s help, it might just be able to pull it off.

This is a huge move by Hertz, which is currently in its 95th year of offering high-quality car rentals to people around the world. Hertz wants to continue to offer even more quality solutions for corporate and leisure travellers moving forward. In order to do this, Hertz knows that it is going to have to acquire some of the biggest names in the industry. CCL Vehicle Rentals was Hertz’s way of showing its commitment to that theory. It will be interesting to see where Hertz goes from here.
