Hertz and Air Canada team up to offer deals to Aeroplan renters

Hertz is offering car renters who are members of the Aeroplan rewards scheme, Air Canada’s loyalty program, the opportunity to enjoy one of two exclusive specials each time they hire a car. Hertz clients may either choose to save 50 percent on the rental, and earn 250 Aeroplan Miles on all weekend car hires, or a $30 saving on the entire vehicle hire period and 250 Aeroplan points. The latter option is geared towards people who decide to rent for five or more days. Aeroplan members may choose any car offered by Hertz, starting from economy class through to full-size vehicles and the minimum rental period, for those looking for the weekend rental (with the 50 percent discount and 250 points) stands at two days. These vehicles must be booked no later than June 30th, 2008, in order to take advantage of the reductions and extra points.

Clients who wish to participate in this special must arrange to collect their rental car at a Hertz airport location in Canada, the United States or Puerto Rico and should be sure to quote the appropriate promotional code in the case of each discount option. Vehicles may be reserved by telephone (1-800-263-0600), for all those arranging their rental from Canada. Clients are required to quote the correct promotional code (CDP #1757761), as well as the Aeroplan collector number, in order to ensure that all bonus points are duly credited to the customer’s account. As with all rentals, however, minimum age qualifications do apply, and prospective renters are required to produce a valid credit card and a driver’s license.
