Hertz car rental firm appoints new Americas executive
Posted on: November 11th, 2009 by Taylor SmithThe giant Hertz Global Holdings have this week announced who will take over the top job of leading executive for the Americas division. The current man, Joseph R. Nothwang, will leave as planned at the end of this year for his retirement after 33-years long service with Hertz. This revealed earlier this year in public documents, but has been confirmed after his successor was found. Scott P Sider, who is currently President of Off-Airport Operations, will take the new role before the busy Christmas period starts.
As Mr Sider takes the new role of Executive Vice-President and be the President of Hertz for the Americas division a new man is to take over for the Asia/pacific region. Michel Taride will move from his position in Europe to look after the new region which will give him something new and challenging to focus on. Mr Sider has been with the firm since 1983 and has held a number of high positions within the company to do with Americas side of the business. He has only held his current position since 2008, but has obviously made a good impression as the years have passed.
The CEO of Hertz, Mark Frissora, has heaped much praise on Mr Nothwang and Mr Sider. The current Americas boss has made some great progress the 10-years he has been in charge and now it is up to the new boss in waiting to build from it has been left and keep the car rental firm growing in the right direction.
