Hertz car rental named top in Conde Nast Awards
Posted on: October 19th, 2009 by Peter HeadleyThe car rental giant, Hertz, was revealed last week to take the number one car rental spot in Conde Nast Traveller’s, Reader’s Choice Awards. The awards by the travel magazine are announced once a year and are for a number of categories including Best Caribbean Hotel and Best World Island among quite a few others, and they are all picked by readers of the magazine.
For this year there were more than 25,000 people who voted on their favorite places and firms out of a choice of 10,000. Other category winners were Charleston in the US for friendliest city, followed closely by Savannah and then Honolulu. A spokesperson for the magazine said that even though there is a recession on, people are still getting out and giving their views on places they have visited.
The Hertz Corporation has been around for more than 90-years now and have always being a leader in their field. They can offer cars all over the world and are one of the first names that spring to mind when customers are thinking of car rentals or larger vehicles.
In the US, they offer a wide range of cars from simple two-door economy cars to the larger SUVs that we see on our roads today. As well as these, Hertz offer sports cars for hire at select locations around the world. In the US, you can drive away in Mustangs and in Italy, the latest addition to their fleet is the Lotus Elise, so you can feel you are driving one of the quickest cars in the supercar capital of the world.
