It has been an exciting week for Hertz Global Holdings. On Jan. 6, the company announced that it appointed a new Chief Revenue Officer and the Senior Executive Vice President. The group said that these two positions will be held by one person, Jeffrey T. Foland, later this month.
While taking on these new roles, Foland will be in charge of overseeing pricing, sales and revenue functions, as well as the marketing of car rentals. Of course, Foland is more than qualified to take on this huge job. For the last 10 years, he handled the same job for United Airlines. Just before leaving the carrier, he was working as the Strategy Officer and the Executive Vice President of the company. Prior to working with United Airlines, he worked at marketing and global sales consulting firm ZS Associates. Other companies with which he has worked include General Motors, Detroit Diesel Corporation and the Allison Gas Turbine Division.
When speaking about his new job, Foland said that he is simply honored to be working with Hertz. He hopes to lead Hertz into significant commercial improvements. It’s not every day that a person gets the opportunity to work with a well-developed brand like Hertz. He will work hard in trying to find ways to grow the already successful brands under the Hertz umbrella.
The current CEO and president of Hertz Global Holdings, John Tague, said that Foland is a seasoned, performance-driven executive. He has demonstrated his strength by having success at United Airlines, which is a very successful global company. United Airlines is also a very valued partner of Hertz. The company feels very fortunate to recruit Foland, and he is pleased that Foland feels that Hertz is the right company to join. Hopefully he can help Hertz find a source of untapped revenue.
Hertz as a whole is already an extremely successful company. The company has more than 11,000 licensee and corporate locations around the world. Some of the areas where Hertz can be found include Latin America, North America, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Asia and New Zealand. Hertz is also big in airports located around the world. In the United States alone, it’s located in 1,700 airports. However, the company has been working hard recently to find new ways to expand and to save money.
