The number one rental company in the UAE, Hertz, recently came out on top in mystery shopper survey in the region. The secret test was conducted by Arabian Travel News, a local travel magazine, and Ethos Consultancy who are both based out of Dubai. The mystery shopper is some one that comes in undercover to check how good a service or product is and then evaluates them after they have left.
The mystery shopper in this case rated Hertz on a variety of different points including was their branch simple and easy to find, did the appearance of the shop and the employees resemble somewhere clean and tidy, how long was the time frame to be served and was the overall customer experience the best out of the rest. Hertz came on top in all of the above categories and scored a massive 91 per cent score.
The general manager at Hertz in the UAE, Nigel Johnson said how pleased he was that their company came out on top in the mystery shopper campaign. Mr Johnson went to explain how they believe at Hertz that their staff are their biggest asset, which is why they spend so much time training and developing their skills to be the best in the business.
The article that was printed in the Arabian Travel News magazine went on to mention one particular employee of Hertz who they felt went that extra mile. Vince Fernandes was that employee and they said he knew just what to ask to find out exactly how he could assist his customers.
