Hertz has recently signed a new deal with the Rugby League World Cup 2013. This new deal will see Hertz become the official car hire supplier for the games. To honour the deal, Hertz will be providing a large fleet of cars to help carry players, as well as officials, between the tournament matches. Hertz will also be providing vans to help move equipment for players.
The deal does not stop there. In addition to all of this, Hertz will use a specially branded van to transport the famous Rugby League World Cup trophy as it visits different schools, landmarks and clubs. This is Hertz’s way of showing their support for the entire Rugby League.
To help celebrate this new partnership between the Rugby League World Cup 2013 and Hertz, the two parties will be offering ticketholders a 10% discount on all basic car rentals booked between now and 30 November. This special offer is easy to take advantage of. Ticketholders just simply need to visit RLWC2013.com, and put in the six digit code that is on display. This will put a 10% discount on all base car rentals. Of course, Hertz’s standard terms and conditions still apply.
The President of Hertz International, Michel Taride, said that they are extremely excited to be working with the Rugby League World Cup 2013. Hertz takes great pride in being the “Official Vehicle Hire Supplier”.
Rob Singleton, who is the commercial manager for the Rugby League World Cup 2013, said that they are pleased to be working with Hertz as well. With 14 different nations playing in 21 venues, the cars provided by Hertz will ultimately keep the tournament running. It is always great news when a league can gain support from a company as big as Hertz.
Mr Singleton added that he also thinks it’s cool Hertz will be using a specially designed van to do a Trophy Tour. This van will hit the road and show off the Rugby League World Cup trophy to all of the UK. It is a moment that fans of the sport won’t want to miss.
When people visit the Rugby League World Cup 2013 website, they will now see that it has been “taken over” by Hertz this week. This is, of course, in order to celebrate the partnership between both parties. Not only that, but Hertz will be heavily promoted during Rugby matches with program advertisements.
The Rugby League World Cup 2013 is going to be huge this year. In fact, this is the first time it has been to the UK since 2000. The competition this year will be hosted by England and Wales. It will see teams from nations all over the world attend the games. This includes teams from the USA, Ireland, Australia, France, New Zealand, and Italy. New Zealand is the current league champion.
For Hertz, this is just the latest in a long line of sports partnerships. In fact, Hertz has current partnerships with other big sporting events, like the British MotoGP, the Melbourne Football Club and even the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships.
