Hertz is offering weekend car rentals in the United Kingdom at discounted rates, starting from only £22.50. For this price, clients can expect to receive an economy class car, such as the Ford Fiesta. Those looking for a little more comfort can also rent a Ford Focus for £29.99, which is classified as a compact passenger vehicle. In order to receive this discounted daily rate, the renter must hire a vehicle for three consecutive days and the car hire must also be fully pre-paid at the time of reservation. Since this is meant to be a weekend promotional, all rentals must also include a Saturday night stay-over.
Prospective renters should keep in mind that this promotional deal requires a little more advance planning on their part than usual, as clients will not be able to claim a partial refund if they decide to return their pre-paid car ahead of time.
Founded in 1918, Hertz is among the oldest and largest rental companies in the world. Hertz Rent A Car also boasts a number of “firsts” in the industry, including being the first company to offer car rentals at airport locations, starting in 1932, and the first to introduce a loyalty program, back in 1972. Hertz currently operates a network of 5,100 outlets throughout the world, of which 1,900 are in the United States.
