Hertz looks to continue to expand in the United Arab Emirates. In fact, it recently announced that it is planning to open a new car hire location in Dubai. This new rental area will be located in the Etihad Travel Mall. Once this location is open, Hertz will have a total of 20 rental locations in the whole United Arab Emirates. Although it has been a slow process, Hertz feels that it is making progress in this area.
To put things in prospective, Hertz has over 11,555 locations around the world, and only 19 of those are currently in the United Arab Emirates. This new location will be located close to Etihad Airways’ check-in counter. This is an area where travellers are able to drop off their bags, purchase tickets for flights and even get drivers to take them to the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Michel Taride, the Hertz International president, said that this brand new outlet in Dubai is just another example of the growing relationship between Hertz and Etihad Airways. It represents one of the several ways that Hertz is working to continue to grow its relationship with one of the quickest-growing carriers in history. Hertz hopes that this new store on Sheikh Zayed Road will provide great car rentals for people who are working and visiting Dubai.
The commercial officer at Etihad Airways, Peter Baumgartner, said that the Etihad Travel Mall has become a very popular place. Since it first opened, it has received nothing but positive responses from people who visit it from all over the world. Although this travel mall has only been open since last April, it has already proven to be successful, and Etihad Airways hopes to continue to expand on that success. By adding a Hertz location in the travel mall, this location is able to provide even more convenience to travellers. It is really bringing the best of every world to travellers.
For those who do not know, the Etihad Travel Mall is just the start of a scheme that will be carried out by Etihad Airways over the next few years. The airline has more plans in the future and continues to look for ways that it can offer even more benefits to the more than 12 million passengers that it carried in 2013. This is actually a 16 percent increase over the number of passengers that they carried in 2012.
The managing director for Hertz of the United Arab Emirates, Nigel Johnson, said that this new location is extremely important for his company. It reinforces the fact that Hertz is looking to expand and is expanding its relationship with Etihad Airways. These are the two major points that Hertz wants to drive home. This will be the very first mall outlet that Hertz has in the United Arab Emirates.
