With a little good luck, travellers in the United Kingdom intent on hiring a car with Hertz may find themselves paying only £1 per day for their rental. Hertz recently announced a special competition whereby a total of 50 rental vehicles will be offered at a special rate of £1 per day. Additionally, this tariff includes not only the basic fee, but full insurance coverage and all applicable taxes and surcharges. Unlimited mileage is also included within this nominal rate.
In order to run the possibility of winning this deal, clients should book their car through Hertz’s website. If the given customer is lucky and reserves a rental car which is marked for the special rate, he/she will be directed to a page which will display the total car hire cost as £1. This deal is applicable throughout Europe and the 50 cars are ‘hidden’ at various rental outlets throughout the continent.
This deal and competition expires on September 30th, 2007, and as such, all cars must be booked and picked-up before this date. Additionally, the deal only applies to customers who choose to rent for a period of one week and the vehicle must be classified as economy, or compact. It is also important to return the car with a full tank of petrol, in order to avoid extra fees. If extra drivers wish to use the car, a surcharge will be incurred. Renters and drivers must be at least 25 years of age in order to hire a car with Hertz.
