Hertz has won the coveted Travel Weekly annual award for best US Domestic Car Rental Company for the 13th consecutive year. Readers of the travel magazine also named the US-based company as the top supplier in the International Car Rental category.
The Travel Weekly prizes for car hire firms have only been operating for 13 years. This year’s poll for the magazine’s top awards saw more than 12,000 readers cast their votes. Hertz’s vice-president for sales strategy, Pamela Wright, said the company was delighted to exit 2015 with such impressive accolades from Travel Weekly’s loyal reader-base.
She noted that it was a testament to the firm’s winning policy of focussing on what clients wanted in conjunction with operating the finest car rental fleets in the world. Ms Wright finished off with the codicil that despite winning the awards nothing would change at Hertz as staff and management alike would continue offering the best service in the car hire industry.
2015 has been a good year for Hertz as it has picked up around 25 awards in both the US and abroad for exemplary service. A highlight was the rating by TripAdvisor reviewers as the Travellers’ Choice for hire cars in the UK, Spain and Italy.
Although the Travel Weekly awards ceremonies have only just been held In New York, readers voiced their opinions in the summer. Readers were asked to respond by nominating what they considered the best supplier or firm in all the different categories.
