Hertz has added the Porsche Macan Turbo to its portfolio of hire cars available at selected US airports. Tom Frese, a vice-president with the global vehicle hire supplier, announced the arrival of the luxury turbo-charged model earlier this week.
He noted that Hertz was continually adding to its stable of dream cars and the Macan Turbo was the perfect complement to other marques such as Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz as well as Porsche’s own 911s and Boxsters. Mr Frese extolled the virtues of the turbo-powered Macan by saying it was a bold and daring SUV offering one of the best rides on the road.
He finished off with the claim that Hertz was taking the luxury car rental experience to new levels with its collection of the best vehicles in the world. Hertz said the Porsche Macan Turbo would initially be available for rental at airports in Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Ft Lauderdale and Denver.
The company says the luxury car collection comes complete with enhanced VIP service. This includes a meet-and-greet service in the airport’s passenger terminal or at a pre-arranged address. The Hertz agent will also provide a personal orientation session to ensure the hirer is comfortable with the vehicle.
The Porsche Macan Turbo combines the practicality of being able to carry five adults with the exhilaration of acceleration speeds of 0-60mph in just 4.8 seconds. It packs a V6 400bhp twin-turbo engine under the bonnet and features the maker’s signature steering mechanism and a state-of-the-art clutch and gearbox.
